At Hunt Electric, safety is one of our top priorities on every project. Our safety-first culture ensures that our employees remain committed to the health and safety of our job sites, and of each other, every day. As a company, we are committed to reaching our goals and surpassing the safety expectations of our clients.
The Hunt Electric Safety Department invests daily in our project’s operation to achieve the safety goals set by our company. As a part of the daily safety process on every Hunt Electric job site, our field team members and leadership fill out a safety “F.O.C.U.S.” risk assessment. This process helps us identify hazards and challenges before work begins, mitigating potential safety risks.
We put our clients' and employees' safety and well-being first, so our Safety Department continuously invests in targeted training and certification courses. Hunt employees remain enrolled in continuing education, and we provide monthly safety training. Because of our extensive certification standards, Hunt’s safety-first culture is instilled in every employee.
Hunt Electric’s focused safety process is evident in our unparalleled safety record. Our current EMR (Experience Modification Rate) is 0.66, outperforming the national average. Last year, we reached over six million work hours without lost-time incidents. Since then, we’ve reset our goal and continued our commitment to safety, doubling down on our training initiatives and processes that keep our employees and clients safe. We expect to surpass five million hours again by remaining steadfast in our values.
Continuous improvement is a fundamental principle of Hunt Electric, and we remain committed to reinforcing and encouraging growth in our Safety Department. Our strong Hunt leadership ensures that each team member feels well-equipped with the safety knowledge needed to perform the task at hand.
